Ask a question about this product

A fuel surge tank (FST) is designed to prevent fuel starvation to the engine on vehicles with inadequate fuel tank baffling. The FST fuel pump(s) feed the fuel rail(s). The volume of fuel inside the surge tank acts as a buffer to always keep the FST pump(s) supplied with fuel. This volume is maintained by the main fuel tank's pump as well as the fuel returning from the fuel pressure regulator. Excess fuel in the surge tank is returned back to the vehicle's main fuel tank. The surge tank also provides a quick and easy way to upgrade any standard fuel system without opening the stock fuel tank. This is an excellent fueling solution for vehicles installing large demand power upgrades such as forced induction.

The Multi-Pump Fuel Surge Tank Includes:

-Machined 6061 Aluminum Canister
-Removeable O-Ring Sealed 6061 Aluminum Caps
-Anodized and Laser Engraved  -6AN Fuel pump outlet fittings
-Up to -10AN on 3 O-ring Sealed Port Fittings
-Calculated and Optimized Fuel Volume
-Stainless Steel Hardware
-Extra Machining for Weight Savings
-Mounting Feet for Uneven Surface Installations
-Factory Pressure Tested before Shipment
-24" Flying Lead Color Coded Wiring Harness
-Installation Instructions

The Radium Engineering Multi-Pump FST is constructed from 100% CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum. It is anodized for long lasting protection from corrosive fuels such as ethanol.

The MPFST can be configured to use up to three fuel pumps. The Walbro 400/E85 pumps are shown above. The pumps are mounted using an anodized aluminum bracket. The fuel pump filter socks are retained. The FST incorporates a multi-pin high amperage sealed electrical bulkhead connector. All internal wires are gasoline, ethanol, and methanol compliant. The internal hoses are a special fluoroelastomer formulation that resists permeation internally and externally making it submersible in all types of fuel.

Green -6AN male fittings signify the pump outlets. The remaining ports are for fuel entering and exiting the surge tank. Select what size port fittings you wish to use (Port A, Port B, and Port C).

If only 2 pumps are used, the "Auxiliary Port" (shown above) becomes a useable black -6AN male port rather than a pump outlet port. Because the surge tank only requires 3 port fittings, Radium recommends selecting the "plug" fitting (shown above) from the Port Fitting A option.

How to select options:

The MPFST is available without pumps and prepped for the user to install their own pumps. If this is your preference, please select "XXX Pumps Not Included"

If you need pumps, the surge tank will come pre-assembled and factory pressure tested with the pumps and sock filters installed. Please select your preferred combination of pumps from the drop down. The MPFST is sold in 2 or 3 pumps configurations. If a single pump is required, please see our other FSTs available in the store.

The port fitting options are for the 3 ports (not the 3 pump outlets). These ports (A, B, C) are used for fuel supply/return to and from the stock fuel tank (or fuel cell) and also for fuel returning from the pressure regulator. They are mechanically identical. The fitting you select should match the hoses you plan to use for the installation.
