So often, we get asked, "so what kind of cars or trucks will you work on?" To be frank, we'll work on almost anything, as long as it doesn't fly or float. While we've made ourselves a bit of a niche company in a few certain platforms, at any given time at FSR, there is a huge variety of cars! Check out the pictures of real experience with almost every and anything automotive!
Here you can see a big block Impala getting cooling modifications, and a lifted F-150 in for transmission service. To the right, the Jeep features a Corvette based LS v8 motor and the 3000GT is in for more modifications. Behind the Supra getting race prepped, you can see one of the many 2010 Camaro's we've tuned and modified. To the right, you can see a small block stroker Trans Am getting race ready. Why are we qualified to be able to work on a such a wide variety of cars? Simple, we are problem solvers. Because we are not just a basic repair shop, and not just a fabrication shop, and not just a race car or tuner shop, we have the ability to develop a solid relationship with every vehicle and customer. While this takes time in the beginning, this establishes a solid base to have an understanding of the project, the goals, and what challenges we may face. On an individual basis, we don't have a huge shop, or many people working here. While we could expand fast and get "huge", what we feel is really important is have a solid grasp of every and anything we do before we get into it. Our staff has a very wide ranging background and that is just what it takes to service everything we do. You can count on us to have the right people with the right equipment to take care of your car or truck; and if we don't, we'll just tell you.

Won't taking all this time to "get to know the vehicle" cost me a lot of money? While it is true that we have to pay our bills, we have a reduced rate for the time we spend learning about your vehicle and making sure we have a solid understanding of where we are headed with the project. We can do this because we consider it an investment; we don't want or need a lot of clients, we just want a few good ones. We sincerely want to develop a long working relationship with our clients so that we can provide the best personalized service available. The initial extra time we invest with you and your vehicle is more than covered by how much more quickly we can solve problems and improve performance in the future. This is what consists of our Initial Inspection Service: - Check tires, tire pressure
- Check condition of accessory belts
- Pull current and pending engine codes where applicable
- Inspect suspension bushings, balljoints, tie rods, tie rod ends, rack, sway bars, upper and lower control arms, wheel bearings
- Measure brakes, both pads and calipers
- Check compression (most cars)
- Check for oil leaks in common areas (valve cover gaskets, front and rear mains, oil pans, return lines)
- Inspect cooling system; water pump, thermostat operation, coolant hoses, heater hoses
- Inspect fluid quality; we'll sample engine oil, trans, t-case, diff fluids, coolant, brake, and p/s for a quality assessment
- Inspect tension and condition of timing belt and components where applicable
- Review aftermarket components and combinations; we have the experience to understand
All of these services take about a half a day to perform, however, at $250, we feel it is a great way to compromise in that we get to learn about your car and be educated about it before we start work, and you get to learn all the things we find; what's urgent to replace and repair, and what looks good and should be ok for a long time. Doing a chassis dyno test is only $50 additional if you are doing this inspection.
Additional services you may consider while we do our inspection is a comprehensive head gasket test, and a dyno test. Please contact us for pricing and information about these services.

How do you handle a situation where you get into something that you haven't done before, and why should I trust you to tackle a problem you haven't before? While we feel this is a valid question, and while we also feel like experience is very valuable, sometimes coming into a situation with a fresh set of eyes is exactly what is needed to pin point something that everybody else is missing. Eric always uses the phrase, "you can't see the forest for the trees", and it often applies to this kind of work. There was a time when no shop knew how to do anything with anything, but that certainly didn't stop mankind then, and it won't stop us now! If you're ok with the fact that we're ok knowing that we go into this learning every day, there is almost no problem we can't solve. We actually feel like thinking we know everything would tremendously hurt our day to day operation significantly.
That's right, that's a Model A in front of a 2010 Camaro and a single turbo Supra. Not too many shops offer that sort of variety. Muscle Cars and American V8 Performance We are well equipped to work on all of your modern v8 sports and muscle cars. Well versed in the LS series engines, we can handle your basic bolt on upgrades for the new Camaro's or Corvettes, or any of the slightly older models such as the 4th Gen Camaro, GTO, G8GT, and so on and so fourth. Additionally, for customers who want more performance, we offer cam, heads/cam, and forced induction options. For Fords, we have MOD motor upgrades ranging from tuning to supercharger and turbocharger setups, both off the shelf and custom. We like to take a well rounded approach to upgrading these cars, with full length weld in subframe connectors, coil over conversions, 10 bolt and 8.8 upgrades, and other chassis and brake upgrades these platforms need so badly.
Classic Cars Classic cars are some of our very favorite work to do. We can do heavy upgrades such as a modern engine/drivetrain to make your classic rod drive and perform like a modern Corvette. However, we're also familiar with both small and big block Chevy's, Fords, and Mopars. We have the right combination to get you down the road, and get out of your own way! Ask us about street performance Carb upgrades tuned specifically for your car on our dyno. You get REAL horsepower and a dyno sheet to prove it!

Trucks, Towing, and Diesel Performance With several years experience working at a truck shop, we are well equipped to transform your light or medium duty truck into a hauling machine! With mild upgrades for the Ford 460/GM 454 and extra breathing and tuning for both LS and Mod motors, we can get you the torque you require to take your racecar or boat over the mountain passes that surround us. One of the most pivotal parts of reliable towing would be transmission cooling. We have transmission upgrades and custom coolers that will make quick work of any hill. For today's diesel, we offer dyno tuned computer, intake, intercooler, and exhaust upgrades for massive gains in both power and economy. YES we can fix your Ford 6.0 turbo diesel!
Luxury Car Maintenance and Dealer Alternative Many of our customers have stock or very lightly modified cars. However, they still want maximum performance and the highest quality parts and labor. The dealers charge incredible fees for work to anything with a luxury badge on it. That's why so many people bring their cars here for schedule and unscheduled maintenance and repair. We use 100% OEM factory parts only! These cars require the best quality parts and non compromising labor, and that's why you should bring your car to FSR. With labor rates 40% less than what most dealers are asking, honesty, and better service, you can't go wrong.

Import Performance We have a strong reputation in many import communities and there is a good reason for it; top notch work at fair prices is what we're all about. Being a performance based shop, we can help you with your mild bolt on setup all the way up to a full ground up build for 1000 horsepower. Consider our experience and our in-house dyno for proven performance both on the street and track when you chose your race shop.

Subaru tuning as well as breathing modifications are something we are familiar and comfortable with. Likewise, we can service or fabricate anything for your EVO 8/9/10 and can easily handle transmission and clutch work that scares most shops away. Unlike most shops, we don't see EVO's and STi's as happy meals and just try to throw "staged" tunes at them. Each car is treated individually to suit the owner. Likewise, we work on Honda's ONLY when the owners are willing to allow us to do the best work with OEM or better parts, proper management, and no eBay or Chinese junk. Lastly, you can see a turbocharged Hyundai Tiburon we've tuned. Tuning, EFI Management, Carburetor installation, setup, Dyno Testing FSR has you completely covered on the tuning end of things. We offer a variety of both piggyback and stand alone computer options. Further, we are comfortable tuning a carburetor for both street and race environments. We can curve your distributor, index your plugs, and tune up your car for almost any gas or environment. See our article on tuning here.
Quality Fabrication, Race Preparation, Roll Cages, Race Setup There isn't too much to say here. We build cars, yes. But we actually race them. You'll see us out at the track on many weekends supporting our customers or doing race development. We go out there and race to win, race to learn, and race to bring back a set of skills to build cars better, faster, and stronger.

We hope this gives you a better idea of what FSR is all about. As we said, we really don't want too many customers. That's why we'll never be like Summit Racing or Jegs. We just want a few good customers that we can build a relationship with, build some cars with, and go racing with, if that's the goal. We look at the time we put into cars not as billable hours, but as an investment. If you have any questions, please call us at: 909.949.0550 or email us at fsr@fsrmotorsports.com
